Every gift to the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation will lend a helping hand to veterans in need and honor all veterans for their service and sacrifice. Your donation will support critical programs and services for Virginia veterans and their families that are not covered by state or federal funds. Donate by Mail

Please use a check or money order made out to the Veterans Services Foundation. In the “Note” section, put the name or acronym of the veterans program from the “How We Serve” page to which you wish to contribute. Place the donation in an envelope and mail it to:

If you are sending a money order or cashier’s check, please include the name and address of the donor and the veterans program for which it is intended.

Please contact the Foundation for contributions relating to in-kind donations, estate planning gifts, and securities. The Foundation has facilities to accept marketable securities as donations.

Privacy Policy

The Virginia Veterans Services Foundation and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services protects records and data as defined by applicable Virginia statutes, including Government Data Collection and Dissemination Practices Act, the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and other applicable U.S. Federal Laws. The Foundation and Department respect donor privacy and do not sell, rent, exchange, and share donor information with other non-profit organizations and third parties.

Tax Information

Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law under Internal Revenue Code Section 170 (c) and Code of Virginia Section 2.2.2719. Check with your tax consultant for more information.

The Foundation’s Federal Employer Identification Number is 46-2744762.

Donations will not revert to the Commonwealth’s General Fund. The Veterans Services Foundation is subject to annual audits by the Commonwealth Auditor of Public Accounts.

Donation Policy

Contributions received by the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation will be used as specified by the donor. However, if the purpose of the donation has been met or no longer exists, remaining funds may be used at the discretion of the Foundation Board of Trustees for other support of Virginia veterans and their families.

Refund Policy

The Veterans Services Foundation trusts that anyone wishing to donate online considers their decision carefully and checks donation amounts during their transaction. If an error is made while making an online donation, the Foundation will consider all refund requests made within 10 business days of the donation.

Please email requests to VSFInfo@vsf.virginia.gov along with the copy of the receipt and include the nature of the error. Refunds will be credited to the same card and a small administration fee of 4% will be deducted to cover the costs of refunding your donation.

If you become aware that your card has been used fraudulently, please contact your card provider.
