Freedom of Information Act

The Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), located § 2.2-3700 et. seq. of the Code of Virginia, guarantees citizens of the Commonwealth and representatives of the media access to public records held by public bodies, public officials, and public employees.

Financial Reports

Financial statements for each quarter are contained as attachments to the quarterly Board of Trustees minutes, above. Annual financial statements for fiscal years prior to 2011 are available on request from the Foundation.

The FY2011 through FY2012 Financial Statements have been audited by the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts. An additional audit of all Commonwealth agencies involved in fundraising was completed June 30, 2013. The Foundation had no discrepancies in either audit. The next audit was conducted for 2015. It found proper accounting and reporting of all transactions, but three matters of internal control were brought to management’s attention regarding receipt of donations. All were resolved.
